Having spent August back in the UK, we returned to Oman to pick up our collaboration with CompetenceHR (CHR). For the past 18 months, CHR have been delivering a fantastic leadership development programme on behalf of Oman's leading oil & gas company, OQ.

This fantastic programme, focusing on Organisational Development, consists of a series of 5-day workshops which include facilitated workshops, group coaching, meet-the-leader seminars, CMI assignment briefings, and action-learning projects.

Our lead consultant, Stirling Wood, has spent the last six weeks delivering workshops on organisational culture, ethics, and values as well as delivering several group coaching sessions and a series of CMI Level 5 and Level 7 Management & Leadership qualification assignment briefings.

Based in the capital, Muscat, Stirling also travelled to Sohar in the North and the beautiful Salalah in the South to deliver to as many learners as possible- he certainly got around during his time there.

OQ should be congratulated for having the vision to put nearly 1,000 middle managers and executive leaders through this programme over a three-year period; and CHR should be applauded for developing a truly world-class syllabus and curriculum that will lift OQ to new heights of excellence in service delivery.
