In early January 2023, we were invited by Competence HR LLC (Oman) to contribute to a leadership programme run by the Qatar Finance & Banking Academy (QFBA). Known as Kawader Malia, the programme covers a wide range of finance and leadership disciplines, including two workshops focused on the ILM Level 3 Certificate in Leadership and Management.

Having been appointed as an ILM trainer/assessor, our Lead Consultant, Stirling Wood, headed to Qatar for a week to provide advice and guidance to delegates on the five assignments needed to gain this outstanding qualification. Since returning to the UK, we have been marking these assignments on behalf of Competence HR and providing feedback to learners.

We have gained some really useful insights in to operating qualifications overseas, and on the challenges posed to learners in studying for qualifications in a language other than your own. Clear and unambiguous advice and guidance is critical in helping them understand clearly the requirements and standards required for success.

We continue to provide support until the conclusion of this project in late May.
