From February to October last year, our Lead Consultant, Stirling Wood, was part of a 10-person team providing coaching and mentoring to the latest cohort on the Omani Government's Etimad Leadership Programme.

Coaching participants on the programme, and providing nearly 200 hours of coaching, Stirling worked with 40 delegates. We used the GROW model of coaching, which proved pivotal to helping participants identify solutions to the challenges they face in developing their leadership practice.

Stirling reports that he had some fascinating conversations with a wide range of participants; from CEO's to small business owners through to new leaders and University graduates. He enjoyed helping them develop their leadership skills and introducing them to new and progressive leadership thinking.

Stirling says, "This has been one of the most rewarding experiences of my professional life. After 20yrs in senior management and leadership roles, it's been a privilege to pay forward my experience, and the learning I've benefited from working with some great leaders over the years. If the group I worked with is anything to go by, the future of Omani's business leaders is in very good shape!"
