Great news!

We have just begun two new coaching assignments in Oman. Our excellent colleagues at Competence HR have been awarded two new projects that have coaching and mentoring as an integral part of the programmes.

OQ are one of the largest state-owned private-sector entities in the country, bringing together 9 separate oil and gas-related organisations under one umbrella. As part of a major staff development and succession planning initiative, the Masar Leadership Development Programme will see hundreds of staff each year, for the next three years, undertake intensive leadership development. Each cohort will study towards either a CMI Level 5 or Level 7 Certificate in Leadership and Management.

As part of this programme, Group Coaching sessions are being offered to specific groups of participants to enhance and embed their learning.

We have been selected, as part of a small team of external consultants to provide this coaching to both Level 5 and Level 7 delegates. In total, we will lead 11 groups of up to 7 people across 6 coaching sessions.

Having completed the first round of coaching, we're convinced that each participant will benefit for the peer-to-peer support that is emerging from these groups, and it has been a pleasure to facilitate this and we look forward to the remaining sessions.

Alongside this, we have had the joy of delivering two workshops to delegates in Sohar and Muscat covering topics such as leadership styles, change, and problem-solving.

Additionally, we have also been asked to provide coaching to individuals working at the Port of Salalah, in the south of the country. Sadly, we won't be venturing down there to meet the coachees personally - we'll be doing the coaching online.

Eight individuals will receive 6 coaching sessions each as part of their individual leadership development programme. We've had some really enjoyable discussions so far and, again, we look forward to continuing our work with these great personalities.
